Concept of Clean Eating

Eat To Nourish Your Body

Clean eating encourages you to consume more whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats. You must avoid or limit highly processed snack foods, sweets, and other packaged foods. Minimum processed, easy to digest and healthy food is always helpful in the weight loss journey.

Processed food/junk food is categorized as ‘Gramya aahar’ by Ayurved. Processed food is always responsible for impaired metabolism and hence obesity and many more diseases.
Apart from physiological effects, it influences Manas gunas also. According to Ayurveda, Satvik, Rajas, Tamas are 3 qualities/properties / gunas of your mind. Satva guna always comes with some positive characteristics like good mental strength, humility, kindness, self-control, etc. Clean eating enhances Satva guna and hence it provides the best emotional qualities.

Processed / junk/bakery food influences balance between the above three Gunas of Mind. It increases Rajas and Tamas Gunas causing lethargy, negativity, laziness, boredom, irritation, addiction etc.
This diet – mind – mood triad always affects the weight loss journey. So clean eating is very important for better metabolic quotient and emotional quotient as well.
Clean eating is directly linked with the positive participation of your mind in the weight loss journey.
