Bridging Tradition
with Technology
Nadi Tarangini is the outcome of a decade-long collaborative effort between Nadi-Vaidyas and research scientists from IIT Bombay.
Our goal is to translate the ancient science of Nadi Pariksha into an objective, data-driven diagnostic framework that meets modern clinical standards.
A Decade of Innovation
Supporting both leading academic institutions and independent clinical practitioners.
Research begins
The scientific journey began at IIT Bombay with pioneering research on digitizing Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha). The first research papers on the Nadi Tarangini concept were presented at the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference, establishing the foundation for evidence-based Digital Ayurveda.
First publication
IEEE EMBC conference paper on pulse-based diagnostic system.
Vision Takes Shape
Atreya Innovations was founded with the vision of developing a data science-driven, non-invasive predictive health monitoring platform inspired by Ayurveda.
First Nadi Tarangini System
Nadi Tarangini, the world's first digital Nadi Pariksha device and mobile application, was launched with support from the IIT alumni network, marking the beginning of the commercialization journey.
Scientific Validation
The technology was scientifically validated using more than 24,000 pulse data points, strengthening the evidence base for digital pulse diagnostics in Ayurveda.
Early Clinical Adoption
The business model evolved to meet the needs of the Ayurveda ecosystem, and the platform crossed its first 100 clinics, demonstrating growing acceptance among Ayurvedic practitioners.
Scaling Clinical Practice
The network expanded to over 250 clinics, while a comprehensive patient management system was developed through continuous collaboration with Ayurveda physicians.
Machine Learning Integration
Advanced Machine Learning algorithms were introduced on a centralized data platform to enhance pulse signal analysis, and continuous capture was integrated.
National Recognition
Nadi Tarangini surpassed 500 system deployments, received DSIR recognition from the Ministry of Science & Technology, won the National Startup Award (Health), and was featured by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India in the 87th episode of Mann Ki Baat.
Research & Quality Expansion
The company strengthened its technology leadership, signed a research collaboration with the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), secured ISO 13485:2016 certification, and raised seed funding to accelerate growth.
Global innovation
Patents were granted in Europe, USA and Indonesia. Nadi Tarangini received IEC 60601-1 certification.
AI-Powered Insights
Machine learning models were integrated directly into Nadi Tarangini reports, generating real-time Tridosha scoring and personalized insights from every pulse capture..
How we capture and interpret
Pulse Data
Sensor placement
The Nadi Tarangini device is positioned over the radial artery using its three ultra-sensitive patented pressure sensors, enabling simultaneous pulse acquisition in accordance with the Ayurveda principles of Nadi Pariksha.
Signal acquisition
The sensors convert subtle pulse movements into digital signals that accurately represent the characteristics of the pulse waveform.
Digital transmission
The captured pulse data is processed using advanced Machine Learning algorithms and transmitted securely for further analysis.
Waveform analysis
Machine Learning algorithms analyze the recorded pulse waveforms to identify meaningful pulse patterns and generate Nadi graphs.
Parameter calculation
The processed pulse data is used to generate comprehensive reports containing multiple Ayurvedic health parameters.
Dosha mapping
Based on pulse analysis, the system evaluates Prakriti and Vikriti balance and provides personalized recommendations.

How Guna is measured
Nadi Guna refers to the qualitative properties of the pulse signal beyond just Dosha balance.
Vital force, strength, or amplitude of the pulse. Evaluated as Pravara (strong), Madhyama (moderate), or Avara (weak).
Represents digestive and metabolic capacity. Assessed clinically by correlating Prakruti, Nadi Gati and key Gunas.
Rhythm and flow pattern of pulse. Reflects movement of Tridoshas and pulse dynamics.
Describes the qualitative characteristics of the pulse perceived during Nadi Pariksha.
Reflects mental and emotional tendencies inferred through Ayurveda pulse assessment.
Indicates susceptibility to physical and mental stress based on pulse characteristics.
What the research shows
Selected findings from 35+ peer-reviewed publications.
“Something our results confirm: machine learning models trained on Nadi pulse time series can reliably identify Tridosha imbalances with clinical-grade accuracy, bridging 5,000 years of Ayurveda wisdom with modern data science.”
